Title: RE: [smartBridges] APPO to AirCarte outdoors
Ok... so... not the airCard then... staying with the PCMCIA format, would an orinoco do it? would a patch antenna be required?

Leaving the PCMCIA requirement behind, how about an airNIC? How about an airNIC with an external patch antenna?

(I assume an airBridge would do it with or without the patch).

Nope I doubt it not at 300m but haven't tried it boats are crazy cause they have steel in the hull plus the pure geometrics of it make it a multipath hell.

Can anyone give me some idea of the operation range of an AirCarte talking
to an APPO (12dbi omni w/3* downtilt)?

Think it can still get 1Mbps at 300m?

Think it could could still do that thru a fiberglass boat hull/deck? (1/2"
of fiberglass)
