impression that 30db is the max allowable EIRP in FCC
territory. So they've set up the radios to allow only
17.5db output, which, coupled with a 13db antenna puts
out a max of 30db.

While in SimpleMonitor in the Dial a Power tab you'll
notice that as you change the power output, or change
the antenna output power that it warns you if you go
above 30db EIRP. It's incorrect, the warning should come
at 36db, and only for Access Points. You can go higher
for client radios and dedicated Point to Point links.
(clients are considered point to point..)

We love the SmartBridges equipment, but we had to use
AMPs on the Access Points to be able to get the full 36db
out onto the airwaves.
