Hi!

A wild guess only!!!
It sounds like the search function my be doing a broadcast to detect the
clients,
and that the clients does not respond to the broadcast?

It could be an idea to do a "subnet ping" (polling) with the search
button in the software
to "wake up" the radios in your subnet. Maybe have some place to define
what
subnets you would like the search button to discover devices in??

Just out of curiosity, what does it mean if:
-simpleMonitor Search window tunrs up about 15 airBridges,
-aspsearchmgr.exe turns up 24 airbridges -arp-a (right after running
aspsearchmgr) turns up 37 -but I've got over 80 out there? (about 5 of
them run the old firmware that doesn't allow remote admin)

Usually, I have to ping them before they show up in the arp table. Or if
I'm running simpleNMS (where I have them all added manually), they all
show up in the arp table. (The Search feature in simpleNMS doesn't work
for me.) They also show up in the arp table of the linux box that runs
mrtg since I'm tracking RSSI & linkQ for all my radios right now.

Ideas?
