Currently there are no known issues with either the airBridge or the airPoint Pro firmware (at least no more than what we knew before this episode began J, and a few issues have been cleared up).

The firmware will work fine with all the old and new hardware.

We are advising our customers to proceed with caution with a few units first to make sure there are no wide spread issues in your particular network environment.

Hope this guidance helps. And keep sending us the test results. We appreciate that.

Nish

Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Beta Testing of airPointPro simpleMonitor 1.6 (with firmware 1.4j.8)

Is this ready for prime time deployment yet or is it still being worked around, mainly I mean is this and the 1.07 going to kill regular units or cause them problems I can't see trying to identify out of all my customers the ones that might have a the issue I just don't have the time or the man hours to go through it.

Would really appreciate the help

Chris

Hi All,

The airPointPro simpleMonitor version 1.6 (with firmware 1.4j.8) is available for download at the following link
http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/beta.php. This latest software provides firmware fix for the issue described in the Customer Advisory http://www.smartbridges.com/pdf/Customer%20Advisory.pdf and the Radius authentication.

We have confirmed that the problem of "dis-association at elevated temperature" has been solved. We have done exhaustive testing in the lab and done controlled beta testing with many users in the field. The results have been positive with almost all the users.

Please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with your feedback and any issues you have so that we can attend to them on an individual basis.

With Best Regards,

Alex
