Hi Jerry,

The repeater will act like a client device when associating to the primary AP. The channel, ESSID, and WEP encryption if any will be the same as the primary AP it is associated with.

When you disable client to client communication from the client info TAB it will prevent any client to client association between all clients associated to itself, however to allow or not allow non-IP traffic has to be consistent with the primary AP as well.

With Best Regards,

Vasu

Subject: [smartBridges] Does repeater use main ap settings?

Does a repeater use the setting of the ap it is repeating from or can you tell the repeater to not allow client to client comm and/or not allow non-ip traffic on the repeater only?

Just wondering,

Jerry
