We tried an vertical omni got crap for signal even with 500MW (2 amp might work for you) but we were in a very congested Vertical pol area so we went with two of the PAC wireless 95* Horizontal sectors and let me tell you same amps same APPO we got out to 7.25 miles and we have another remote site at 8 miles with a 500mw amp pulling backhaul from our main tower with the sectors. I can tell you this if it were nor for H pol and amps we would not have done this venture. Does not mean we will always use amps we plan on doing smaller pops with no amps to get an effective 2 to 3 mile radius if we can if not then we will use an amp if we have to. You use them in your best judgment and dont abuse it I think using them are fine o an extent but if you can avoid them I would. Sometimes you just cant..
