Agreed. It’s just that my installs are done in
such a way that most of my customers can’t get near their bridges (or power
them down). I was just validating
that the Ethernet kill (during upgrade) was relative to the faulty units. -----Original
Message----- I did mine over the
wireless. I just called the customers who DID have the association
problems, had them unplug for 10 mins, then plug back in, then as soon as I
could see it with Simple NMS, WHAM!!! I did the upgrade. None of
them had problems. Scott -----Original Message----- There is
no doubt that FWUpgrade can be done wirelessly and you can do it on non-failing
units as long the wireless link is clean and error free. Since FWUpgrade is
critical process and we just being conservative and do not want customers to
take any risk. Alex sB Tech

Message----- Maybe
the next release you could place an emphasis on the ability to remotely upgrade
non-failing units. This prevents me from having to send a warm body to
all my client locations. After all, figuring conservatively including
travel time 20-30 minutes per at over 100 clients, is a fair labor expense. -----Original
Message----- This is
precaution step to avoid unit goes dead. Some had experienced the Ethernet is
dead after upgrading. So the answer is absolute must especially for the ones
affected by the elevated temperature. You are advised to upgrade it thru
Ethernet connection. Alex sB Tech

Message----- And
is it an absolute must that they be cool or is that only for the ones affected
by the elevated temperature issue? -----Original
Message----- Is it suggested
by sB that all aBOs and aBs be upgraded to 0.01.07? or only certain ones? -----Original
