Hi Scott,

The new airBridge firmware does the Multi MAC operation and it allows
traffic from the multiple MAC address to pass thru. When the packets are
passing thru, the airbridge puts own MAC address and then reaches the
gateway with Ethernet header MAC.
The DHCP server looks at the BootP for PC MAC address, not the MAC in
Ethernet header and assign IP address based on the airBridge MAC table.

This is the behavior of the airbridge units.

Thank you.

Subject: RE: [smartBridges] MACs through an AB

Is there any way that an option could be added so that the airBridge
would change the Client hardware address to it's own MAC address? At
the gateway/dhcp server there are two MAC addresses that are seen. The
dhcp server sees a request from the MAC address of the machine behind
the airBridge, but the gateway sees all the requests coming from the MAC
address of the airBridge itself.

Basically it would be nice if there was a way to get the mac address
shown in the client hardware address field of the dhcp request to be the
same as the airBridge that passed the dhcp query through.
