If this is an acceptable design, can you give me your thoughts on what
issues may arise or are there problems that it may inherently have that
I do not realize.

If an AP goes down, clients that were associated with that AP will jump to an other AP. When the first AP comes back online, the clients won't automatically switch back. That is my experience, at least.
