Has anyone used an APPO with Star-OS on a long-distance shot of at least 18 miles?
If so, did it work well, with the long-distance settings in Star-OS? How was the throughput, and were there any issues with errors, etc? I'd like to use an APPO at the feed end of the backhaul to my 'on the mountain' so-called "noc". This on the mountain location will contain a Star-OS box, with multiple AP's and backhaul links to other locations. Cost and simplicity make an APPO ideal at the feed end, but I have no idea if the distance will be a factor. Otherwise, I"ll use 2 star-os boxes... thanks NEOFAST.NET North East Oregon FAST Net mark(at)neofast.net --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
