Hi Tim,

I would like to help you on getting the unit replaced. The unit you had problem with is probably with the old chip and bad if the firmware is already loaded with latest firmware (1.4j8) and you still need to cool down for few minutes before it comes back online. Please complete the RMA request at http://www.smartbridges.com/new/support/rma_form1.php and we will arrange for the equipment replacement. I will make sure the unit is tested good before shipping to you.

Thanks.

I hate to tell you this but you DO HAVE A CONTINUING PROBLEM WITH YOUR APPO!

I followed your instructions and have installed an 18VDC 1.5mA power supply and the darn thing still powers off.  I then have to turn the power off for a couple of minutes and “Poof”  it’s magic!  It comes back online.  I am not going to sit around all night and re-power this unit.

YOU PEOPLE BETTER UNDERSTAND YOU ARE NOT SELLING YOUR COMPANY LINE “We have no other problems with the aPPO after the firmware upgrade!”

I will be looking for a new product to install tomorrow, this is ridiculous.

The default threshold values will work most of the time and not necessary to adjust the RTS/CTS fragmentation.  If you find a relatively large number of collisions in the wireless traffic, then try adjusting the threshold values.

Adjustment may be required only for the long distance link which may increase the throughput in the wireless link.

Please let us know what type of antenna you are using on both ends along with the some information regarding the distance between the link, We would also like you to send us a link status log from the airBridge.

What is the type of Ethernet cable being used along with the length of Ethernet run? The new units with the new firmware does not have any issues with respect to disassociation we suspect it to be a either interference or some installation issue.

The log files can be found from the following directory.

C:\Program Files\smartBridges\airbridge\DeviceDataLog.txt

C:\Program Files\smartBridges\airbridge\StatisticsLog.txt

If possible, please provide us the above log files from the aPPO also?

Some of them reported about the disassociation issues, finally we found that the preamble settings was set to "short". sB recommend "Long" preamble settings on sB devices.

Please let us know the above info.

Thank you

Subject: [smartBridges] ABO disassociation problems

I have a small apt complex with 10 ABO's on the roof of 10 buildings all

running the latest firmware plugged into a dsl system at the base of each

building. The ABO's all point back to an APP running the latest fw. After

doing the latest fw upgrade I also lowered the rts/cts and fragmentation

down to 1500 on all radios. I am now getting disassociations from all of

the radios and cannot get in with simple monitor. I have to physically

reboot the radios to get them to come back up.

Any ideas here will moving the rts/cts back up to default help?? I was not

having near this many problems until after the fw upgrade and the changing

of the thresholds.

Thanks
