yes, but you need to have gateway there (a router) that must be the same
subnet.
If the Linux box is the same subnet with all of other radio, there is no
need to have a gateway to make ping work, so the primary port setting,
this is actually setting for where the default gateway is located, that
my suspect not correctly setting up, will give same result(ignored),
because you don't need gateway to ping a host at the same subnet (in
other word, no gateway needed, the radio just respond to mac addr).
