I'm trying to open a WISP in Mexico
I need some advice and information
I'll use linux/squid/shape (no cost,just my time)
Some of my costs:
Here in Mexico, the cost for a 2M pipe is about 2,400 dlls a month
The cost for an ABOT is 645 dlls plus install (about 10 dlls)
The fixed cost for the bussines will be around 600 dlls a month (rent,
I know I can use a simple wireless nic and a pannel when possible, but is more
practical to have Abots instead of wnic-pigtail-LMR-pannel because
the troubleshooting is easier.
It's a small beach town, with 1000+ houses, high income
Despite the cost of towers, ptp, ap etc:
How many customers do you think I can serve with that pipe?
Do you ask the client to pay for the total cost of an ABOT?
What about the pricing taking in count my costs?
what is the price you get for a CPE and stuff?
I'm thinking about import the all directly because the cost here
is too high. Can I buy some used equipment? do you advice that?
