Yesterday, we took down a repeater site (two
APPI's, one API, took the units to the shop, reset them to factory, ran password
recovery, did the f/w upgrade and re-configured them. Then back up to the top of
the hill we went and put them back in place. One APPI we put in Client Bridge
mode and it associated nicely with the head-end A/P. I plugged the laptop into
the hub and pinged and surfed with no problem. Next I unplugged from the hub and
associated wirelessly to one of the A/P's. No problem associating but I could
not even ping the A/P much less go anywhere. Tried associating to the API with
the same results. Two hours later after trying all the usual stuff 20 times, in
desperation I called my tech down the hill and he associated but could not ping.
As the sun was setting, in desperation I did one more power reset.
Whammo, the A/P took off working. Does anyone have any idea what the hell
happened here? Anyone had a similiar experience?
TIA,
Bobby Bounds
