Fellow List Members,

We have, in one of our locations, a town (Donnellson, IA) that is sB exclusively.

The PtP/backhaul; Access Point and CPE are all sB...that in itself is no big deal, but.....ALL equipment has been up and running without a single problem for almost one year.....I mean not one single replacement or call-back or problem, period!  40 plus users and not anything to complain about....our Tech & Service Support departments claim to be like the Maytag Repair men on this particular town...never a call for a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g about the sB stuff.

However, the sad part of this success story is....ALL the sB equipment was manufactured BEFORE sB changed contract-manufacturing from their original vendor and went to a different chip set and software upgrade.....but I don’t need to go into that (on this list) now do I!!   :-(

My oldest one is about 8 month now.

I had to clean the spider family out of a Smartbridge Outdoor today - seems a whole family moved in through the vent hole in the bottom.   I don't know for sure if that was what was causing the odd signal drops this customer was having but there were webs all over the circuit board -  it certainly wasn't helping matters any.

I stuck a piece of tape over the vent hole - somehow I think I'll eventually regret that....
