It is not compliant but certified that is why this is in a test environment.
It turns out that unless there is a large cable run or low radio power the amp is going to put you over the FCC limit. I basically wanted to see how an amp would help me increase my range. And as far as I have seen so far it does not help me increase my range and still be abiding by the law. Perhaps a point to point link from the forest is where this 1 Watt amp would help. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Gino Villarini Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 11:17 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Amps! yes... but, I see FCC with 2 eyes... one is certified equipment and the other is complaint equipment... the appo + amp + 12 bd omni is neither Gino -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Bill Flood Sent: Friday, October 17, 2003 12:20 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Amps! Gino, Isn't any amp in violation of the FCC code Part 15?? Unless of course it has been certified with the FCC as a combined unit.
