hmmm...

this isnt a simple crash, it only crashes after association with an APPO and it crashes as soon as I try and log in to the ABO so I cant make configuration changes.

NMS only crashes when I try and view the link stats for the ABO throught the "monitor" option, so it does point to the RSSI and signal quality graph being the problem.

Subject: [smartBridges] Disassociation and something more bizzare

Hi all,

I too am having the disassociation problems with ABO's and APPO's in client bridge mode, seems that the beta Firmware does fix the problem. It has caused a huge headache for us with a lot of unhappy customers, but I guess once the service is stable again they soon forget.

But my problems is now more bizarre, we seem to have certain APPO's crash ABO's simplemonitor software after association. It is really strange, I can configure the ABO using simple monitor fine before we associate to an APPO, but once its associated simplemonitor crashes. This only happens on some APPO's and not others, I thought that with was maybe a bad batch of APPO's because it was happening to 2 of the APPO's that had consecutive MAC addresses but I just got a brand new APPO and the same thing happens. We have done a number of tests and came back with the conclusion that it’s the actual SIGNAL and RSSI values that are causing the crash, not the simplemonitor itself. If I connect to the ABO with version 1.43 of simple monitor it does not crash. The reason we belive that simplemonitor ver 1.61 crashes is because it displays the signal strangth pie graph in the task bar of windows, but our theory might suck as we are out of ideas.

We have tried this on a number of PC's ranging from win xp pro to win 200 server.

Has anyone have had the same symptoms?

Kind Regards,
