Consider that these should have a 512k RAM buffer it should be able to
keep track of enought MAC address per port to know which port to send
broadcasts on. However I am not sure how many MAC addresses it can
keep in memory per port. I know some switches only support 4-12 MAC
addresses per port which means when you run a larger bridged system
hooked up to one port it sees to many MAC addresses and when there is
traffic to a MAC address that is not in memory it will broadcast it to
ALL ports which means you can get a broadcast storm.

The only way to guarantee yourself against this is (drumroll please)
to put in a router..  =)
