Yea I figured as much bummer I have it polling my T-1 router now, which is kind of cool but I would really like to see something like this that can pull the info from SB stuff...

The program is not as extensible as I had hoped. It can not decode octet strings. Since the APP (all smartBridges devices) store traffic data in an octet string format instead of having a counter or gague for each stat, there is nothing usefull that this program can read from an APP. You can point it at a router or a linux or win box and retrive usefull data. To use the Standard SNMP setting you need to point it at a device that uses MIB-II structure. It will then show you all of the available bits of data that can be collected. Sorry. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Blazen Wireless Sent: Monday, November 03, 2003 2:04 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [smartBridges] Nifty Utility Okay cool thanks ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Haynes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2003 10:25 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Nifty Utility Yup, you will probable have to go to advanced and enter an OID of the info you want monitored. I'll be heading home soon and should be able to give you a better idea then. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Blazen Wireless Sent: Monday, November 03, 2003 12:41 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [smartBridges] Nifty Utility Okay loaded it and I configure it to one of my APPO's and it says by adding a "sensor" it then says when the screen pops up "the device was contacted successfully please select a sensor type now" it gives me the option of standard SNMP and advanced SNMP. For ease of use I choose standard then the next screen is blank and it asks me to select one or more devices?? It is blank am I missing something here? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Haynes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2003 3:00 PM Subject: [smartBridges] Nifty Utility PRTG - Paessler Router Traffic Grapher http://www.paessler.com/prtg/ Free version Runs under windows Sends email alerts Looks nice The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org
