Where did you find the Tranzeo complete link for $999? I would be
interested in trying this for my next backhaul (like next week ;o)
thanks

Tranzeo has
a 5.8 solution if your link is
within 5 miles (it was 10 miles, but they downgraded it for some
reason). I
have one running flawlessly and it only costs $999 for the complete
link! I’m
thinking of trying the same solution on a 5.7 mile link.

Well as for
backhaul I would not recommend
SmartBridges equipment if you =
are going to plan on having 20 or more users connected through that =
backhaul. We are a medium sized WISP and have found that after about
20 =
users (bridges) connected through APpo's and things started to fall =
apart. Also you have to deal with extra devices in the 2.4ghz spectrum
=
to interfere with you.
We had 3 such senerios setup on our networks to seperate remote sites =
and have since changed them to 5.7ghz Motorola Canopy equipment. =20
I am excited to say that since switching the equipment, we have had
more than
30 days uptime without rebooting the device. And exceptional
performance even
during the Welchia / Blaster network storms.
Sure the Motorola Canopy stuff is over priced but for 5 nine's
reliability it
is your only option.
Be sure to let me know if you have additional questions about the 5.7
Motorola
Canopy Backhaul Units.
Here
is a little info on our
backhauls.
We worked a little extra
to get Line of Site however Motorola claims
this system will work up to 20 miles (reflectors and both ends) without
LOS.

I
would be interested to know
what any of you are using backhauls between towers. I am
considering 5.8. Ideas and general info, manufacturers, and model info
would be greatly appreciated.
