Get an iPaq and PocketWarrior. http://pocketwarrior.sourceforge.net

It shows,

- APs and AdHoc CPEs
- MAC Address
- SSID
- Signal
- Noise
- Signal to Noise Ratio
- GPS Coordinates

We just picked up the iPaq 2215 and a SanDisk CF 802.11b card.
Pop the little silver top off the card and you can attatch a pigtail. A
little bit of liquid nails will hold the pigtail solid on the back of the
card and you are ready to go.

Subject: RE: [smartBridges] NetStumbler

My biggest reason for holding out on a hand-held scanner is that

a. I want the ability to plug in an external antenna
b. I want true Signal/Noise readings in dB (*cough* something sB doesn't
do)

Netstumbler on my laptop does this, but is bulky.

Is there a way to run Netstumbler, Kismet, etc on a tiny PC (handheld,
palm, zarus, whatever) and have an Orinoco card --or any kind of card that
will allow you to plug in a 19dB antenna?

(and cheaper is better, of course. That Zarus looks cool. Can it take a
card with an antenna connector (Orinoco?)
