What is the temperature at night? Could be water in a connector that is
freezing at night. Also, check your connectors and make sure the center
pins are up where they should be. It's not uncommon for a cable to shrink
and expand with variations in temperature and this can cause the center
pin to move out of and back into alignment. Fresh connectors usually
clear it up.

Subject: [smartBridges] Puzzle?? Need help.

Can anyone put this puzzle together??

I had a new client ("CLIENT 1") 2 weeks ago in "AREA A" off of "TOWER 3".
This client had 100% RSSI and 91%LQ...during the day. Sometime between 7pm
and 10pm, his LQ would completely CRAP OUT. His aB became totally unusable
between then and 9am. I did some sniffing and saw that his neighbor had an
internal network on our channel. So, I swapped this client over to "TOWER
2", with no further issues.

I have a new client ("CLIENT 2") (2 days now) in "AREA B" off of "TOWER 3".
During the day, he is at 100% RSSI and 93% LQ. From 10:00 pm till 8:00 am,
his LQ goes down to zero and completely knocks his unit off line. Same
exact symptoms as "Client 1" 2 weeks ago.

FACTS
1. I did some sniffing, and cant find any interference (channel wise) near
this "Client 2".
2. AREA B is in a completely different area than AREA A (separated by miles
and huge hill).
3. There are other "old" clients (months old) within 2 blocks of "Client 2"
off of same "Tower 3" with no problems with LQ.
4. The old clients and new clients are on different firmware versions (don't
know which right now).
5. LOS from "Client 2" to "Tower 3" is PERFECT. Distance is only 3/4 mile
with slightly lower elevation than tower (but within RF path).
6. DON'T FORGET...this is only a problem from 10pm to 8am.
9. Plz look at attached picture for the ugliness!

Any ideas?
