I use 3 or 4 different brands of CPEs, and have pretty much standardized on sB - mainly for management reasons. (Homogeniety has its advantages!)
I've got around 120 sB units out there (airBridge, airPoint, airBridge Outdoor, and airTOTAL). If they're locking up on me, my clients aren't telling me. I run MRTG on them, and the only ones that I see go offline are the ones that I know for a fact turn their computers (and power strip!) off. I have lockups every once in a while, but no more often than their router locks up. And I'm using 1.04 on most units, and 1.07 only on the units that came with 1.07 pre-installed (or had the little warning label). We've pretty much standardized on the airTOTAL for all links <4 miles. For links beyond 4 miles, we use an airBridge Outdoor on a 19dB panel. (CAT5 is soooooo much nicer to work with than LMR!)For "problem" links, I use an Engenius CB3s in a NEMA box. If anything, I'd like to see a more robust NMS package. I rarely use simpleNMS because I can't see everything in one screen. Clicking on each customer (and waiting a sec or two) isn't efficient. MRTG (tracking RSSI/LinkQ) is better suited for my needs in this regard. Ideally, I'd like to see a quasi-realtime report that lists everyone's connection speed, failures, etc, etc, etc, in one nice long list. SB?????
