Hi Steve, Point 1: This seems to have fixed the problem. Point 2: I tried 2 different JREs, from IBM (1.5) and Sun (1.6u4) . But solution 1 seems to have solved my problem :).

I see you're running the IBM JVM. We've had some problems there, but only with proxy setup (if you set the JVM property to work out the proxy from the OS, you get class not found exceptions). We normally just test on the Sun and BEA/Oracle JRockit JVMs and hope that the rest work.
