The raw value of the "Power_on_Hours" attribute seems rather huge.
One possibility could be that only the last 8 bytes are meaningful,
and the value is measured in minutes:
6880537611760 & ~0x7fffffff00000000 = 3568
which could be 59.46 hours.

Did you issue the "smartctl -a" immediately after termination of the
short self test? How much time did you let pass between 
"smartctl -t short" and "smartctl -a" ?
