Hi group,

I somehow seem to have broken my svcs, I disabled a service and since I
tried to enable it again (with no change to the config of the service) I
got this:

svcs: Could not bind to repository server: repository server
unavailable. Exiting.

Meanwhile I stopped/started the zone again but the problem persists,
svcs seems to be completely broken by now and I only see very few processes:

[root@2b0390a1-dc67-408d-9ebf-60560ba3f5ba ~]# ps -ef
UID PID PPID C STIME TTY TIME CMD
    root 4774 4676 0 14:41:59 ? 0:00 /lib/svc/bin/svc.startd
    root 4777 4776 0 14:41:59 ? 0:00 /lib/svc/bin/svc.configd
    root 4810 4800 0 14:42:33 pts/3 0:00 ps -ef
    root 4676 4676 0 14:41:59 ? 0:00 zsched
    root 4776 4774 0 14:41:59 ? 0:00 /lib/svc/bin/svc.configd
    root 4742 4676 0 14:41:59 ? 0:00 /sbin/init
    root 4800 4789 0 14:42:26 pts/3 0:00 -bash
    root 4789 4676 0 14:42:07 pts/3 0:00 /usr/bin/login -z
global -f root

Googling a bit I found a post which describes issues with the sqlite DB
and negative values in there:

http://www.claudiokuenzler.com/blog/315/smartos-could-not-bind-repository-server-configd-not-running

but this does not seem to be the case, I cannot get any negative values
in my queries.

So now I'm a bit lost, no clue how I broke that. Any hints on what I can
try to debug?

Note that I am running on a stone old SmartOS release (2013).

regards

Adrian
