Adding the snapshot let me do imgadm update, but i got new errors of the same type for some other filesystems. I 'fixed' all of them. What remains is a number of warnings about missing images but these might be related to images we created locally we will investigate.
What are these final snapshots exactly though ? Why are they important and what is their purpose ? Cheers, Matthias PS: These where the missing Original Snapshots: zones/17c98640-1fdb-11e3-bf51-3708ce78e75a@final zones/74c3b232-7961-11e3-a7a7-935768270b93@final zones/9eac5c0c-a941-11e2-a7dc-57a6b041988f@final zones/d2ba0f30-bbe8-11e2-a9a2-6bc116856d85@final zones/dc1a8b5e-043c-11e2-9d94-0f3fcb2b0c6d@final These are the missing images: warning: Could not find image 27112888-4255-4074-9e4a-40fcc4fb0e8a in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image 27541e3a-e764-4042-b30b-f6ab9a148302 in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image 4fde356c-6722-46dc-abdd-8b3255c7209f in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image 75a3fd75-63f3-4221-8b8d-c22ee4aee9bd in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image 85acfede-8cc3-47fd-b5ea-4fe30b264c5d in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image 980a1ef1-f024-41b9-ba05-21232342551f in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image a850d2c9-7985-48fe-8469-b5b2cf839281 in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image cc9ddbcc-1d7b-40d0-acb5-720a49102e3d in image sources (skipping) warning: Could not find image d6daf4aa-13f6-471d-a0a6-0e5540b69b7e in image sources (skipping) From: Trent Mick Sent: Monday, March 30, 2015 7:09 PM To: [email protected], [email protected] Matthias, Sorry I never saw this. Are you still struggling with this? It sounds like the "@final" snapshot of your base64 13.2.1 image was deleted. I believe you can get away with *local* usage of the image by manually creating an '@final' snapshot on it: zfs snapshot zones/17c98640-1fdb-11e3-bf51-3708ce78e75a@final However, one caveat at least is that 'zfs send/recv' on that image or VMs created from that image won't work to other machines. How can I recover this snapshot ? What can i do to get new images again etc or fix this error ? What is the easiest way to find out which vms (we have quite a few) would be affected ? thanks for any pointers regards, matthias ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/21501426-d2aba048 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?& Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com -- Trent Mick http://joyent.com ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
