Thanks for the reply. I just reinstalled onto a new disk and I'm not seeing the problem now. I'm guessing what happened ia I installed using a disk that had a previous SDC installation on it. I assumed (mistakenly) that the installer would blow away any pools it finds. I guess that's not true. :-)
