All postgresql*-server packages are configured to auto-initiate storage and preset the ‘postgres’ user password to ‘postgres’. The package installation message suggests so even, although the message may be overlooked in the slew of screen output if installing with a dozen other packages.
You’re free to re-set to something else as you’d do with any PostgreSQL installation of course.
