Recently I have the opportunity to use LSI 9211-8i in my HP DL380 G6 server.
After flashing LSI with the latest IR firmware (v19.0.0.0), I just disabled the
internal smart array raid device and connected two backplane SAS cables to LSI
ports.
Everything was as expected. LSI lists all of the disks which are 6 HP SAS
drives and a Intel DCS3700 SSD.

I use latest smartos release. Booting in to "noinstall" mode, I had "WARNING:
KCS error: ff”. As I investigate it has to do with bmc.
“diskinfo” showed the disks as below. All seems to be fine.

So I made 6 drive RAIDZ zfs pool (named zones) and rebooted the server. Smartos
initial setup appeared, answered all of the questions, rebooted and met the
usual login prompt. There was nothing unusual except KCS warning.

Later I figured out that I forgot the attach Intel SSD as log & cache vdev.
Slicing with fdisk, I attached Intel SSD as cache and log vdev. Nothing
unusual...

Once more I decided to reboot server. This time I met the initial smartos setup
screen again. I guessed it had something to do with pool import so rebooted in
“noinstall” mode to see pool state.
"zpool import" had the following error.

It seems like something doesn't like Intel SSD. Any advice to dig further would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
