Hi Ian, Thanks for the reply about Triton SDC, but I am already aware of it as well as Danube as well, which are all discussed on the sdc-discuss ( [email protected]).
Clustering and working with the compute nodes were not the point of this exercise as I had mentioned in a previous post that it was just a single SmartOS hypervisor exploration into what it would take to add and XServer, or similar, to SmartOS only. I truly appreciate the feedback that I have received from everyone but I have found that the majority of the responses have been more appropriately tuned towards the "sdc-discuss" list as they have to do with questions and use cases related to a full cluster. In this regard, I have already setup a Triton test cluster which runs well and have been doing some experimentation on it to get a better feel for its operation, but that is another discussion. This exercise was an exploration just into SmartOS by itself without any clustering. The point to all of this was just to see if it could be done and to see how small I might be able to keep the modified SmartOS footprint. Thanks again and have a good weekend, Lonnie On Fri, Oct 27, 2017 at 6:46 PM, Ian Collins <[email protected]> wrote: > On 10/28/17 02:18 AM, Lonnie Cumberland wrote: > >> Hi Jonathan, >> >> Thanks for getting back to me.
