I'm off line at the moment so you may hopefully have this sorted out by the time you get this. I can offer you no assistance only to confirm that a similar issue exists with O2 in Ireland. I'm still using MS4 but with it I can establish a GPRS connection to Vodafone without any problems whereas O2 refuses to accept the connection. Well when I say O2 refuses it accepts my login details and shortly after that LCP terminates the connection. I've been trying to find some relevant Serial comms information but nothing so far. I hope you turn something up and if I find anything I'll let you know. There are some Fatal errors in my log after "CHAP authentication succeeded" but these are present in a good Vodafone log as well so I assume that it's not them. daemon.info pppd[1375]: Serial connection established. daemon.debug pppd[1375]: using channel 1 daemon.info pppd[1375]: Using interface ppp0 daemon.notice pppd[1375]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/4 daemon.warn pppd[1375]: Warning - secret file /etc/ppp/pap-secrets has world and/or group access daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <magic 0xe4ce1c00> <pcomp> <accomp>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP ConfRej id=0x1 <magic 0xe4ce1c00>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [LCP ConfReq id=0x2 <asyncmap 0x0> <pcomp> <accomp>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP ConfAck id=0x2 <asyncmap 0x0> <pcomp> <accomp>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <auth chap MD5> <pcomp> <accomp>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [LCP ConfAck id=0x1 <asyncmap 0x0> <auth chap MD5> <pcomp> <accomp>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [LCP EchoReq id=0x0 magic=0x0] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [CHAP Challenge id=0x1 <192341b17269fd0dec607823a12e7ff1e6>, name = ""] daemon.warn pppd[1375]: Warning - secret file /etc/ppp/chap-secrets has world and/or group access daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [CHAP Response id=0x1 <8e6e3ea0a23c02e0ee217de42e0b0f95>, name = "gprs"] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP EchoRep id=0x0 magic=0x0] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [CHAP Success id=0x1 ""] daemon.info pppd[1375]: CHAP authentication succeeded daemon.notice modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting ppp_mppe (/lib/modules/2.6.24/kernel/drivers/net/ppp_mppe.ko): No such device user.info kernel: PPP Deflate Compression module registered daemon.notice modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting ppp_mppe (/lib/modules/2.6.24/kernel/drivers/net/ppp_mppe.ko): No such device daemon.notice modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting ppp_mppe (/lib/modules/2.6.24/kernel/drivers/net/ppp_mppe.ko): No such device daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [CCP ConfReq id=0x1 <deflate 15> <deflate(old#) 15>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [IPCP ConfReq id=0x1 <addr 0.0.0.0> <ms-dns1 0.0.0.0> <ms-dns3 0.0.0.0>] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP ProtRej id=0x1 80 fd 01 01 00 0c 1a 04 78 00 18 04 78 00] daemon.debug pppd[1375]: rcvd [LCP TermReq id=0x1 0b 21] daemon.info pppd[1375]: LCP terminated by peer (^K!) daemon.debug pppd[1375]: sent [LCP TermAck id=0x1] user.info 2008.11.24 05:21:06 ogsmd INFO <UnsolicitedResponseChannel via /dev/pts/1>: unhandled unsolicited data incoming: '%CGEV: ME DEACT "IP","",1' daemon.notice pppd[1375]: Connection terminated. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkl4uP4ACgkQXlbjSJ5n4BAAqwCfSSqsSfdEJ1dtCb9z3jDSCePK CKkAniz5/26P+Ibp48VF9Ooi6VE5byj/ =HGqF -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Smartphones-userland mailing list Smartphones-userland@linuxtogo.org http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/smartphones-userland
