This is strange: I re-installed Debian at least 5 different times
between yesterday night and this afternoon and the only problem I had
was with Emdebian.

Have you ever experienced problems with your microSD card?  Or network
ones WRT either the Debian mirror you use or the Internet itself?

I would test again FSO-MS5, it is the present, now.  And please download
again the Debian install.sh script, I committed some changes lately:
