SECTION 1: Introduction

1.1 What is a FAQ?
A FAQ is simply a set of Frequently Asked Questions that tend to annoy list
members after seeing them day after day. The point of the FAQ is to reduce
the amount of questions asked by users so that the list can be used for
it's intended purpose: the discussion of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Which leads
us to....

1.2 What is this list all about?
This list was created to talk about Sarah Michelle Gellar in general. You
will see discussion about her role as the slayer on "Buffy the Vampire
Slayer", her clothes and hair, appearances, magazines she's featured in,
movies she is featured in, and any special appearances she's done. Please
be sure to stay focused on Sarah. Posting about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
is OK, but only as long as your post contains an obvious link to Sarah.
There are many other lists where you can post about Buffy's characters and
plot lines. The list is also a great place to ask questions, but please be
sure they are not
answered in the Sarah FAQ (see Section 3).

SECTION 2: List Information

2.1 What are the general rules for this list?
Here are the basic rules:
1. If you must flame someone (make a personal attack towards them), take it
to private email. Don't send it to the list for everyone to read.
2. Try not to be too easily offended, and try not to offend anyone else.
3. Try to stay on topic. This list is about Sarah Michelle Gellar. Keep
this in mind. It's ok to post about Buffy, or any of Sarah's movies, just
as long as it has an obvious link to Sarah.
4. No posting of binary files allowed. This includes pictures, movie files,
sound files, etc (anything that is not text). If you want people to check
out a new picture (for example), upload it to a website and then mail the
list with a description of what you have uploaded. There are numerous
providers that provide free webspace that you could use for this sort of
thing: try Geocities for starters (www.geocities.com).
5. Don't post messages like "I love Sarah!!!" or "Sarah is so great!!!" If
you feel this way, (which I'm sure most of the people on the list do), try
to go into more detail about what you think makes Sarah so great, or what
it is you love about her.
6. Please refer to the list FAQ before posting a question about Sarah. The
FAQ is posted to the list on a regular basis.
7. Similar to rule 5 (sort of) - don't reply to messages by simply stating
"I agree." or "thanks!" Remember... your post goes out to hundreds of
people, and unless you give your opinion or your comments on what the other
person has said, the post is pretty much useless to everyone on the list
except the person you are agreeing with or thanking. Private email would be
the way to go for this kind of thing. As a guideline, try to make all posts
a minimum of three lines in length.
8. Remember that Sarah is a human being and has a right to a private life,
so try not to gossip or spread rumour about her personal/love life.
9. If you are trading videos or magazines, feel free to post a request for
an item, but then take it to private mail. The whole list doesn't need to
hear about it.
10. The use of HTML in mail messages is forbidden, as it doesn't translate
well into the digest version and cannot be read by all mailreaders. If you

2.3 How do I send mail to the list?
Simple! Send all posts to [EMAIL PROTECTED] We strongly urge everyone to
be familar with list rules prior to posting and follow them otherwise your
post(s) may be deleted.
If you're a new member to the list it's in your best interest to a wait a
few days before posting. Try to get a feel for the list community and what
everyone is talking about. One warning: Your first post should not contain
only an introduction of yourself. It's okay if you wish to introduce
yourself as a
newbie and have a brief one or two lines of introduction, but include other
text that contributes to discussion.

2.4 I just sent an email to the list and it didn't go through! What can I do?
Your post will not be sent out immediately, as it has to be checked
(moderated). However, if it has not been sent out within 24 hours, and you

2.5 I'm getting too much mail! What can I do?
Digest mail is available. Under digest, you receive one large mail each day

2.6 Who runs this great list?
Chris Rosser, [EMAIL PROTECTED], is the co-owner of the list. He
handles all technical problems, maintains the website for the list, and
also moderates messages.
Sachin Bansal, [EMAIL PROTECTED], founded the list in early 1997 and
is still involved in the day-to-day running of smg-fans. He moderates

3.1 Where does Sarah work now?
Sarah currently holds a full-time job as an actress on the show "Buffy the
Vampire Slayer" which is filmed in Los Angeles, California. Additional
shooting is done in Torrence, CA.

3.2 When does Buffy air?
Buffy airs at 8 PM EST on Tuesday nights in the United States. It airs at 8
PM EST in Canada on Tuesday nights. In the UK, Sky currently has the rights
to Seasons 2 and 3 and is currently airing Season 3 on Friday nights at
8pm. Other European and Asian countries follow entirely different
schedules, so please check your local listings.

3.3 How did Sarah begin her fabulous career?
She was four years old and eating in a restaurant, when she was approached
by a talent agent who landed her her first role one week later in the movie
"Invasion of Privacy" starring Valerie Harper.

With the overall abundance of mail the she receives, the odds that you will
receive an autographed picture or a personal response are not very good.
However, that is not to say there is no hope, because you won't know for
sure until you try. Most people who write receive a pre-printed autographed
picture.

Thankfully, Sarah has never done any nude shots for television or a motion
picture to date. She has been asked to wear revealing outfits, but she has
had the decency to not flaunt her beautiful body to the entire public.
Therefore, please do not ask about the location of them, since they do not
exist.

Sarah does any have known email address, and her phone number and home
address are private information, something we don't have. However, give the
girl some privacy. The Internet frightens her because people have been
placing fake nude pictures of her that have tabloids jump to conclusions.

According to official sources, Sarah is not currently dating anyone.

The picture you saw came from one of Sarah's movie entitled Cruel
Intentions. The role called for a kissing scene with another girl, Selma
Blair. The key word is role, and does not mean anything about her
personally.
