(See IISTD website for Brochures and Action Plans esp.) Muslim `religious' education and their `two cultures', ideological and technological, through their curricula and anti-worldism, became in recent centuries increasingly takhsisiyyah (reductionist, restricted). `Modern' secular and `mixed' systems are also takhsisiyyah. They all marginalize Islam, making Islam irrelevant by restricting it to mere rituals of `the five pillars', family law, etc. Islam covers every discipline and all areas of the `two cultures': " And whoever does not judge by what God has revealed, they are wrong-doers evil-doers Rejectors ( zalimuun, fasiquun, kafiruun, Quran 5:47, 45, 44 ). Ijtihad is Islamic rationalism and modernization in the light of the Quran as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad. Islamization is a duty/fard; it is an urgent necessity since other systems have made Muslims incapable of promoting Islam, life, reason, posterity, wealth and honor (al-deen, hayaat, `aql, nasal, maal, `ird). Islamization assimilates the truths of all systems, incl. the modern secular. IISTD concentrates on Islamization of science and technology. Islamic ideology achieved some of its greatest triumphs during periods when Muslims were the weakest politically and militarily as in the 12th & 13th Centuries during the Crusades, and the 13th & 14th Centuries AD during the Mongol and Tatar invasions. However, the Mongols, Tatars and Turks, during genocide and destruction unparalleled in the history of mankind, embraced Islam and carried forward the mission of Islam. After centuries of internal decadence and well-deserved defeats and humiliations, Muslims are waking up to Islamize all knowledge and the `two cultures'. Islamization of `modern' takhsisiyyah systems --- traditionalist religious, secular, and `mixed' --- will empower Islam for Muslim self-development and Islamic propagation for universal common good ( al-maslahah al-kaffah ). Islamization includes assimilating the truths in all systems. Secular education systems are well suited for Islamization; they basically apply the Hadith, followed by the Sahabah and Early Generations but abandoned by later Muslims --- al-`ilm bit-ta`allum, "Knowledge is by Self-Learning". They promote freedom of thought, ethnicity, multi-culturalism, and Arabic language. Their structure applies the ta`allum/Self-Learning methods such as in North America through Independent Study Courses, a Second Major or Minor, and new Courses on demand by students. Such Courses and students' research for Term Papers, and Master's and Ph.D. programs, must be used for Islamic and Islamic-comparative studies in every discipline. This promotes Islam among non-Muslims too. Islamic full-time and week-end schools, and Muslim `mixed' education systems, should be the early models for `total Islamization', as-silm al-kaffah. We must pursue Continuous Self-Learning through `Islamic discipline-oriented' books and journals too. Meetings and conferences of Islamic organizations and professional associations must devise Islamization programs and promote their implementation world wide.
