Thank you for sharing that. However I am interested in doing all management and metrics gathering myself so using a device that sends metrics outside the enterprise is out of the question. Unless I misread/misunderstood something. Furthermore I already have bought 15 PIs for the purpose of building this distributed polling network so I think I will get the max out of this investment before proceeding to other plans. It is however very interesting how far embedded linux can take things. A Cisco Nexus CCIE instructor who beta tests most of those devices told me that the cpu on the raspberry is probably more powerfull than the ones running nexus os over a RTL core , so that is really impressive..
