Providing a full output of the two configurations would probably be helpful. It
may be as simple as a typo.
Another possibility: IIRC, the parent will refuse to use the secrets file if
the permissions are set too expansively.
Finally, is the parent/child actually able to access the secrets file - are
permissions too narrow.
Running both parent/child servers with --debug is often fairly helpful, since
it gives you a lot of detail.
