I cannot really recommend to throw BenQ down the bin just by looking
at a few logs. It *appears* that your modem chokes under pressure, but
this is just an estimation. If you are using the background queue to
send messages, you could increase the interval - this would drop your
sending rate but would show if there is really a problem relating to
modem load. The best thing would be to just "borrow" another modem for
a few days to test it out before buying it - can you do that?

Doesn't make any difference...

Forget this suggestion - if this was the problem, it wouldn't be
possible to even connect to the modem.
