Hi,
it look like you are using Nokia Symbian Series 40 mobile phone,
recently I've find that this model only working with SendMessage.java
sample and don't support for reading messages .

I've tried with various Nokia mobile as given below:

Nokia 5610, Nokia 5130, Nokia 7200, Nokia 3110 Classic, Nokia 2626
Classic & Nokia 5800 but all of them throw same exception as you are
getting. So try with a fully compatible mobile phone instead of
Nokia's new mobile phones.
