Hello, I am trying to retrieve SMS messages from my Option Icon 452 USB GSM Modem through SMSLib, and when I do I received "WaitCommEven: Error 31" over and over again in my log files from Apache Tomcat.
The USB Modem is connected directly to the PC's USB Port (I have tried different port's, to no avail), and I still receive the message no problem, I just get this error message repeated thousands of times creating a log file of over 38MB each time it runs a check for new SMS! What can cause this error and what can I do to try resolving it? For a while I was using the Option Globetrotter application, however, that application constantly pops-up when new messages are received and there is no way to disable that feature. By the way, I am using my own application that I wrote to send/retrieve SMS messages from the US ATT SIM Card in the USB GSM Modem, so I do not want to use Globetrotter. But since I removed Globetrotter and connected the modem through a Dial Up Connection within Network Connections (I am running Windows Server 2003 r2) I am now getting this WaitCommEven: Error 31 error.
