I've changed my implementation of SMS Server (an XML Socket server) to 
check the status (service status) before adding to the queue. If not 
"STARTED", I've added code to stop service, wait and then start service. It 
is in a synchronised method - so it will work in my multithreaded XML SMS 
server. Hopefully it should recover the service without the need to restart 
the SMS Server application.

I've also added -Dsmslib.serial.keepalive=63 and -Dsmslib.watchdog=30  just 
in case so that they don't try to access the modem at the same time. The 
default is 60 and 15.

I'll monitor and see what happens.

PS: My modem is DWM 156  (Dlink)
