Dear Colleagues,

FYI :

Women Managing Infrastructure (WOMIN) Project is looking for several
trainers/facilitators. Application letters and CV can be submitted
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] urgently.

The trainers will be trained in Training for Trainers workshop in
Malang, and will eventually conduct the workshop in Nias. Therefore
Nias familiarity and Nias language is highly desired.

Scope of Work
The trainer shall work under WOMIN Project Manager and under the
supervision of master trainers and all project partners for a short
time project. The tasks will include:

1. Take part in the Training of Trainers as participants and follow
specific trainings delivered by Master Trainer ("Teacher")
according to the assigned group for approximately 10-15 days in the
training centre of VEDC Malang;

2. Develop and elaborate teaching methods from course material
delivered by Master Trainer ("Teachers") to enable a transfer of
knowledge to the Trainees;

3. In cooperation with a local facilitator, train women in the five
target area(s) of WOMIN Project in Nias, during a series of
beneficiaries workshops starting from December 2006 until June 2007;

4. Keep proactive initiatives as a component of the WOMIN Project in
order to achieve the success of the project

General Qualifications:
- Minimum age 25 years old;
- The ratio of Female : Male trainers is 70 : 30;
- Have a strong commitment to community- and rural development work
- Have knowledge about training/teaching community groups;
- Have strong knowledge and experience in technical training,
vocational skills and applied sciences;
- Have a flexible attitude and be able to adjust to the shifting needs
of the project;
- Sufficient computer skills in order to use a virtual platform as a
teaching/learning tool;
- Able to work in a multicultural team;
- Excellent spoken, reading and writing ability in Bahasa Indonesia;
- Good command of English in order to follow the course material;
- Strong analytical thinking, creative in problem solving;
- Have gender sensitivity and preferably prior experience of teaching
women;
- Have previous experience in working for community/rural development
projects, capacity building projects or similar projects;
- Experience in Nias/Sumatera Utara and speaking Bahasa Nias is an
advantage;
- Familiar with practical hands on training / vocational expertise and
methodologies to carry it into an effective way of learning.


Specific Qualifications:
Renewable Energy Trainer (4 positions)
- Education level: minimum graduated from Technical Secondary School
(SMK) / senior highschool;
- Have education or experience in renewable energy field;
- Have understanding of various renewable energy forms;

Solid Waste Management Trainer (3 positions)
- Education level: minimum senior high school/vocational secondary
school graduate;
- Have education or experience in Solid Waste Management/Composting;
- Have understanding of various technologies of Solid Waste Management;

Clean Water Management & Purification Trainer (3 positions)
- Education level: minimum graduated from technical secondary school
(SMK) / senior high school;
- Have education or experience in Clean Water Management & Water
Purification;
- Have understanding of various technologies of purification, and clean
water management concepts;

Waste Water & Sewerage Trainer (3 positions)
- Education level: minimum graduated from technical secondary school
(SMK);
- Have education or experience in Waste Water & Sewerage field;
- Have understanding of various household level technologies of waste
water, sewerage and channeling;

Business & Management Trainer (3 positions)
- Education level: minimum graduated from economical secondary school
(SMEA);
- Have education or experience in business and small and medium
enterprises;
- Have understanding of business and economy, management;
- Have basic knowledge about methods to teach concept of
micro-economics to rural communities.

Note: In addition to the specific technologies, all Trainers should
train the target groups on an introductory module on Gender and
Infrastructure Management.

Facilitators
Local facilitators with good contextual knowledge and dual language
skills in Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Nias will be recruited in Nias.

Compensation
- Trainers who have been selected will join the training for 10-15 days
and be provided with accommodation in VEDC Malang guest house during
this time, including meals 3 times a day;
- Transportation from home town to Malang will be covered by the
project;
- Trainers selected will be provided with a minor allowance;
- Transportation to and from Nias and accommodation and meals in Nias
will be covered by the project;
- For the training workshops in Nias, the trainer will be paid
approximately 30 Euros per day.
- Trainers will stay in Nias rural villages with housing provided by
the project as long as the workshops and preparations take place.

Note: Only short listed candidates will be contacted and called for
interviews.
