I went as well. Last year I spent hours going around. This year I was out after just over an hour. I renewed all my subscriptions, and bought a couple of books but the turnout from all was much lower. It was only filled out by a third of the hall being taken over by linux. There are or will be new organisers.
I spoke to some one for more than half an hour and was told that this was the first show under new organisers, they took over later literally weeks before the show. They were more promising about next year. I did not pay for my ticket, I booked it free months before so the only expense was the train fair. I will in all likelihood be there, as it is a day out. If It is cut short I will go into central London.
