I can lend you a power supply until the new one arrives. You'd need to  
collect it from me (Preston Park area).

I used to use a third party battery on my old PB G4 - it was fine -  
supposedly higher capacity than the Apple battery. I think they are  
typically just reconditioned Apple batteries anyway (they take the old  
cells out and put new ones in).
