Yes, I've had the same, IMAP from gmail. Doesn't last long though, seems to sort itself out in between visits to the Mail app.
Having said that I've reset my phone a couple of times recently (new apps, I'm in the habit after my phone crashed several times many moons ago whenever I tried to run new apps without resetting) so I don't know if the reset was what sorted the problem.
