I have a 3.5" Seagate drive that was salvaged from a dead HDD TV
recorder. My friend has some valuable material on it so I offered to
see what I could do to recover it.

I have connected the drive with an IDE to USB adaptor and I cannot get
it to be recognised by my Macbook. I have also connected it to netbook
and used a USB flashdrive with Clonezilla to try and mount the drive;
Clonezilla does not even recognise a drive as connected.

Is all lost or can anyone suggest another thing to try here?

Yours
Mark
