Hi Steve With an iPhone/MobileMe sync combination, there's no need to plug your iPhone or to perform/initiate a sync. As long as your Mac's set to sync automatically, changes between the devices should be automatic within 15mins. No need to specify a master device, otherwise that would be replicate, not sync.
