I'm using 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard) on a Mac Pro and an iMac. There's an option in System Preferences / Energy Saver to "Wake for Ethernet network access". I don't want this option, so have 'un-checked' the box. This works fine, until I have to restart either Mac for (say) a software update. After a restart the option is set again. If I forget to 'un-check' it, both computers keep waking from Sleep for a few seconds - and sometimes stay on all night. Does anyone know of a way to 'un-check' that box and it permanently staying that way? Maybe a modification to plist somewhere perhaps?
