Help!
I've finally got round to upgrading my macbook from Leopard to Snow Leopard.
All seems to be ok except that Logic Express refuses to open - the title page
comes up and a dialogue box follows to tell me that some fonts may be missing.
I
click OK, the clock face appears and then the spinning rainbow. After a minute
the fan is getting up to full speed and the only way out is holding down the
power button.
I also have Logic Express installed on my iMac (It is this machine's primary
purpose). I'm about to upgrade the iMac from Tiger to Snow Leopard and install
Logic Studio 9 as an upgrade of Logic Express.
My fear is that I upgrade the OS and have the same failure of LE and won't be
able to install LS9 on top of it.
I'm assuming that, if need's be, I can trash the LE as installed, reinstall LE
from the original software CD and then install LS9. However I carry the concern
(because of a lack of clarity in my mind about multiple use licences etc.)
that,
although I've already used the original LE CD to install on both computers, the
iMac might now refuse to accept the LE software because it's been used before.
If this happened the LS9 installation would be... well, 'compromised' would be
a
polite way of putting it.
Can someone allay my fears and/or offer a fix for the LE issue that doesn't
involve reinstalling from the original.
Many thanks, Richard
