I've now got an iPhone and rapidly becoming very fond of it! But - on my Nokia, I had it set so that family had one ring tone, one set of friends another ring tone, one particular friend had a tone just for her etc etc and the "general" tone was for random callers - people I either don't know at all (business etc) or people I don't know well.
I tried to do the same on the iPhone - but it seems that the ring tones I've allocated to various people don't ring with their own tones - just the overall catch all one is ringing.
